About ARIA

Aria Harrell is a filmmaker and one of 24 students in USC’s Peter Stark Producing Program, Class of 2028. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Miami, where she majored in Motion Pictures.

Aria began her filmmaking journey as an actress at the Sundance Directors Lab before moving behind the camera to create her first film, which received international recognition and sparked her longstanding relationship with the ConnectHER Film Festival.

In 2025, she was selected as one of five Emerson Coleman Fellows and produced more than four live on-air segments for NBC’s Chicago Today. Her work spans documentaries, narrative films, music videos, commercials, and event coverage.

Originally from Chicago's South Suburbs, and now based in Los Angeles, Aria approaches every project with creativity, precision, and collaboration. Whether telling a powerful story or elevating a brand, she is committed to bringing stories to life.
